Xiaomi is apparently already working on two more high-end phones aside from the 12 Ultra which should finally be announced next month. We’re talking about the 12S and 12S Pro, the former of which has already shown up on Geekbench and even in a hands-on image.

That image revealed Leica branding for the camera, and today a new rumor sheds some light on other details. The information coming from a usually reliable leakster says the 12S will launch with three RAM/storage combos: 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/512GB. The 12S will be powered by Qualcomm’s recently unveiled Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The 12S Pro will allegedly have two versions – one with the same chipset as the 12S, the other sporting the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 instead. The former gets the same RAM/storage variants as the 12S, while the latter will only come in two options: 8/256GB and 12/512GB. Last but not least, the Snapdragon iteration of the 12S Pro is said to feature 120W fast charging, just like the 12 Pro does.

It’s unclear how much of an upgrade the 12S and 12S Pro will be compared to the non-S models, so far they seem to be minor iterations created to take advantage of the Leica partnership hype and not much more. But let’s withhold final judgement until we see more comprehensive leaks.
