Overwatch 2’s newest hero, Sojourn, is coming, and she’s got plenty in store for fans.
According to Polygon, Blizzard showed off the game’s first Canadian, railgun-wielding hero at BlizzCon 2021 in a behind-the-scenes video, which features a brief glimpse of her, as well as preliminary character designs.
According to lead hero designer Geoff Goodman, Sojourn’s look was fashioned around her devastatingly powerful weapon. He praised her “aim skill” with the railgun, noting that players with said skill are “gonna love her.”
Sojourn herself wears her ivory hair in braids leading to a ponytail. She also wears a khaki jacket over a white and gray bodysuit with red accents. Her railgun complements her outfit, glowing green with power.
There’s no release date for Overwatch 2 yet, but Sojourn will make her debut alongside the game. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely we’ll see the game ahead of 2022.
There were plenty of new announcements during BlizzCon 2021. Blizzard debuted Diablo II Remastered and its first major World of Warcraft: Shadowlands update, Chains of Domination. There were scant other Overwatch 2 updates, but we’ll likely hear more about the game as development continues in the coming months.
